I've been thinking about you.

We have finally come to the end of the summer holidays, and for those who have managed to get away be it in the UK or abroad well done you, I hope you enjoyed it. I had a break. I stayed in the UK, in a tent, on the coast. While I was on my holiday in my tent I was thinking about you. How can I help you get to know me? What could I tell you?

Well if you haven't had the opportunity of reading my About Me page, then here's just a quick idea. I am an integrative counsellor, in other words, I use a combination of theories to help you get to the information you need. I use not only the traditional ways of counselling listening, challenging and other ways but I also have techniques to give you to help with what you may be dealing with. Tools like guided imagery or grounding to help calm the mind to name just two out of the toolbox. You may now be thinking, what is different from Emma to other counsellors? Hmmm, good question, let me tell you a little more about me.

I currently work as a volunteer counsellor for the University of Surrey and Surrey care trust. Surrey Care Trust is a charity that helps young people and their families through difficult times. With trust, I work with people from the age 0f 16+. At the University, I work with students and staff on a short term basis. The counselling service I provide in private practice is normally 12 sessions, but this can be extended.

The areas I cover in counselling include but not exhaustive mental health around work, education and home, Panic attacks and health anxiety. Self-harm, trauma, social anxiety, stress and depression to mention a couple. At the moment I am working to help those with autism and those who struggle with their feelings around LGBTQ+.

I like to find out as much as I can about the people I work with, but not in some weird way, it's purely about being able to understand what is going on. Although, I completely respect if there is something that needs to stay to that person.

There is more I could say about me, but that is not the point. This is all about you, and you are the one I want to work with. Get in touch today, email me at tadworththerapy@gmail.com
